Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains, New
Jersey
CHC president Betty Ann Copley Harris was introduced to the work of this
exceptional community hospital while delivering an educational presentation
to the New Jersey Hospital Development Association. In 2000, the hospital
retained CHC to conduct a development audit, facilitate a board retreat
to advance philanthropy, and create a new development plan; two years
later, we were brought back to facilitate another retreat to introduce
new strategies for advancing the institution's major gifts capabilities.

Facing History and Ourselves, Brookline, Massachusetts
For more than 27 years, Facing History has sought to build a more humane
and informed citizenry by engaging teachers and students of diverse backgrounds
in an examination of racism, prejudice, and anti-Semitism. In 2003, the
organization retained CHC to conduct a staff retreat entitled "Building
a Philanthropic Board of Trustees" at an annual meeting of development
officers representing local Facing History chapters.

North Shore Medical Center Foundation, Salem, Massachusetts
Copley Harris Company recruited Jim Kraus to lead the NSMC Foundation
in 1996, and in 1997 led the foundation's first audit and strategic planning
initiative. The initiative was followed by a board retreat that produced
a new model designed to integrate and engage board leaders in the philanthropy
program.
